Poetry Radio!

Many thanks to Didi Menendez for sending the announcement that her "podcast" was ready. I did not know what a podcast was so I checked it out. Humm and wow at the same time. I loved the concept and wondered how long this had been going on and if many others were doing this. I did a search on poetry podcasts and indeed there are a few who podcast on a regular basis and who present poets and discussion in a fairly professional manner.

I see podcasting as a fun, new way to share what we do and I want to share the following info with you. I hope you listen to these links and maybe submit your voice as well. Have fun checking it all out.

Its all about you! Your music, your rants (and raves), your poetry. BZoo Homegrown Radio is on the horizon and we want your mp3s and podcast. We will be playing your music including R&B, Blues, Jazz, Cajun, Bluegrass, Country - down home, homegrown music. With a mix of beat and street poetry, free verse and traditional Poetry. Have a political or social rant? We want it. BZoo HomeGrown Radio - Tell the world about you!

Poets, would you like your poetry performances to be heard by hundreds of people all over the world? Why not participate in this Internet-based audio Poetry Slam?

There's no cash prize, but then there's no fee to participate!

Submit your MP3 file, CD or cassette of a performance no more than 3 minutes in length. It could be a live recording in front of an audience, or a studio recording. You choose. As people cast their votes, it would be great if we could get your feedback an e-mail, interview or audio diary.

Promote your website, your CD, your gigs. Be heard alongside some of the best up-and-coming performance poets. Maybe you'll be crowned the Slam Idol!
